Guided Tours Pembrokeshire | Langdale Walking Holidays | Group Travel

Spring is the perfect time to visit Pembrokeshire’s spectacular coastal paths (managed by the SolvaPembrokeshire Coast National Park). The summer season, with its crowded beaches, has yet to arrive and we can look forward to an invigorating programme of guided walks, as well as visits to places of historical and cultural interest.

  • Luxury hotel accommodation and facilities
  • Two stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park guided walks
  • Guided walking tour of the beaches and places of interest at the seaside town of Tenby
  • Welcome reception
  • Guided tour of St Davids Cathedral
  • Two dinners in the hotel
  • Dinner at The Shed Bistro in the small coastal harbour of Porthgain
  • Explore the striking Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy

We stay at an impressive luxury hotel in St Davids. The holiday includes two days of walking, accompanied by a Ranger provided by the National Park, on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Coastal Track. Here, we can explore the unspoilt natural wonder of this region, with spring the ideal season for the flowers and wildlife along the cliff paths. We have also arranged a guided tour of Tenby, regarded by many as the prettiest seaside town in Wales. For this walk, we are accompanied by a registered Blue Badge Guide who will unfold the highlights of this delightful area.

St Davids

St Davids is a small and unpretentious city, its landmark cathedral located in a majestic, but rural, medieval setting. The cathedral dates from 1181, and has existed as an important place for pilgrimage for nearly fourteen centuries. The magnificent ceiling and sloping floor are particularly memorable features, as well as the medieval Shrine of St David, located in the presbytery, which was restored for St David’s Day 2012.

Useful Information

Currency: Sterling (GBP). £1 will get you (roughly) 1.15 Euros or 1.33 US Dollar, with the average price for a cup of coffee in Pembrokeshire being £2.48. USD may be accepted in some restaurants and hotels and Visa and MasterCard are acceptable, though few places will accept AmEx. Foreign currency can be easily and readily exchanged at banks, exchange specialists, post offices and even some larger supermarkets

Language: Our base in St Davids is just north of the Lansker Line, with a greater number of welsh-speaking residents on average than South Wales.

Timezone: Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

How Fit Do I Need to Be? This is some of the most relaxed and scenic walking to be found along the Pembrokeshire Coast, with several isolated sections that will involve scaling steeper gradients. You'll find the experience much more enjoyable if you can tackle each section of the path with ease, and as such, we advise that all our walkers do some slightly longer-distance walks prior to the departure date.

What to Wear in Pembrokeshire: The West of Wales can bring unpredictable changes in water, so carrying waterproof wear in your day-pack is an absolute must.

Power Plugs and Sockets in the UK: Great Britain uses the British three-pin plug exclusively, travellers from overseas will need to bring an adaptor.
