Off
the Beaten Track in Rajasthan, 1 - 16 November 2004 |
|
 |
"Thank
you so much for organising such a fantastic holiday. We thoroughly
enjoyed ourselves and have promised to go back."
Chris and John
"Many
thanks for organising such a wonderful adventure off the beaten
track. The temples and forts were most impressive, but for us
the walk in the village in Ghanerao, followed by the visit to
the temple, with our young artist guide "Surprise" was
the highlight of our holiday. Unforgettable."

"Just
a short note to thank you for a splendid weekend at Langdale,
although the weather was not the greatest, we still enjoyed the
walks and socialising.
I
thought the talk by John Pilkington on Saturday was first class,
he really is enthusiastic not to mention a very good photographer.
Thanks again David and we hope to see you soon."

Walking
& Exploring in Oregon, 24 Aug - 7 Sept 2004 |
|
 |
"In
awe inspiring Oregon one can drive for hour after hour without
seeing another vehicle, through seemingly endless majestic and
ancient pine forests. Turning onto an isolated dirt road invariably
leads to a magnificent lake with snow-capped volcanic mountain
background where one can readily see soaring ospreys, eagles and
turkey vultures and spot the occasional deer.
Within
this setting, and based at the pristine elegance of Sunriver Resort
near Bend, David Fairs' Langdale Walking and Adventure Holidays
together with David Nissen's Wanderlust Tours has put together
a package of exciting walking and hiking excursions to glaciated
volcanic craters and along snaking river courses.
A
variety of other diversions included laid-back cycling, lake and
river canoeing, white water rafting on the Deschutes River, open
air swimming in numerous pools, and for the intrepid, in the awe
inspiring Crater Lake, all contributing to the most memorable
of holidays."

"Thank
you for another excellent holiday. We came with high expectations
and they were exceeded!"
Andrew and Jill Collier
"Wengen
was wonderful! Thank you for organising such a splendid trip.
I don't think there was anything we didn't enjoy. The
walking was spectacular, the hotel excellent and the company terrific."
Kathleen
"We
felt we must write to you to let you know how much we enjoyed
the recent holiday in Wengen. The scenery was magnificent of course.
Urs was a great source of knowledge and an excellent guide who
provided a well thought-out programme. The company could not have
been bettered and your choice of hotel and attention to details
was, as usual, spot on.
We
have now enjoyed travelling with you some five or six times. This
was the best yet."

Walking
and Touring in New Zealand, 18 Jan - 13 Feb 2004 |
|
 |
"Thank you very much for an absolutely splendid holiday,
it is one that we will always remember for so many reasons, brilliant
walks, wonderful views, exciting days - heli hiking and Shotover
River, relaxing days - Awaroa Lodge and Torrent Bay. We will certainly
recommend this holiday to our friends."
Patrick
"I
had always wanted to visit New Zealand and my expectations were
certainly exceeded thanks to your expert organisation and the
walks and visits we did. It is such a beautiful place. Lone travellers
such as myself are always apprehensive about how they would get
along with the group but everyone was such good company, which
I know helped make the holiday."

"Thanks
again for organising another delightful Langdale Holiday. Good walking
with informative guides, good company, good hotel, good food (though
perhaps too much?!), and the benefits of raki as a mid-morning stimulant."

Peru
and Bolivia,
8 - 12 September 2003 |
|
 |
"We
had a super holiday with some 'adventure' in Bolivia. We should
like to thank you for organising the Machu Picchu 'alternative'
trek. As with all the holidays we have been on with you we had
a wonderful time. Walking for 4 days without seeing anyone else
and having our own private camp sites was a real bonus.
Our trek was well organised, the guides and horsemen were so helpful;
the cooks fed us well - we couldn't fault anything."
Sheila & Charles
"As this was my very first trek I was a bit apprehensive
before leaving the UK, but thoroughly enjoyed the holiday which
was very well organised."
Doreen Wilcox
"As
always you attract delightful people on your holidays, who support
each other and ensure that we all anjoy a memorable holiday.
Accordingly, the Peru and Bolivia trip was a wonderful experience
both for the trekkers and non-trekkers."

|
 |
"I
just wanted you to know how much we both enjoyed the holiday.
The scenery was breathtaking, the walking exceeded our wildest
dreams and the comradeship of fellow guests was terrific. All
in all a great week and we are now re-living it with friends through
all the photographs!"
Debbie and Mike
"Thanks very much for another excellently planned and executed
holiday. The knowledgeable local guides enabled us to get the
most from the stimulating and challenging walks, and the local
hotels with their own unique characters and good food provided
the ideal locations for refreshments, rest, recovery and 'raconteuring'."

superb and well organised holiday. The glorious weather was an

skills could have bettered."
John and Chris Williams
"Excellent weekend. Lovely hotel. Very good guides and good
company - thoroughly enjoyed it."
Carolyn Brown
"The weather, combined with such pleasant company made it
memorable and really enjoyable. The hotel base was perfect and
the staff amenable. Even the cold pool was a challenge."

Brooke
leading the way, Wilson Mountain, Sedona

"We were stunned by the sheer scale and emptiness of the
Colorado Plateau and the scenery was fantastic, especially the
Grand Canyon, Arches, the Valley of the Gods and Bryce Canyon.
This was one of our best-ever holidays and we look forward to
receiving details of the Wengen trip next year when available."
Roger and Sylvia
"I
am writing to say that once again we had a great holiday with
Langdale Walking Holidays to Arizona and Utah. As usual, the organisation
was excellent with the result that all we had to do was to enjoy
the scenery and the walking as well as the company. Thank you
for a great time and for all your efforts to make sure everything
goes smoothly."
