Bhutan   ::   November 2011

The hitherto hidden Kingdom of Bhutan is a destination of great diversity and unparalleled beauty.

"An amazing adventure witnessing a small part of a unique and rather precious way of life.
Flights, rather super. Fabulous views of Mt. Everest. Internal travel - a comfy minibus with an excellent driver. The local guides were extremely good; nothing was too much trouble and the tour leader was a treat with a delightful personality and expedited her leadership tasks with much humility. A very memorable trip, David"
Jennifer

"Yet another fantastic holiday in Bhutan"
Yvonne

"Another fantastic holiday and we had a great time on the trek; challenging, but great fun. Bhutan is a wonderful country, friendly people, good food and good guides wherever we went"
Jill and Elwyn

This holiday covered two different areas of the Spanish Pyrenees: The Isábena Valley with its medieval hermitages and beautiful hilltop villages; and the Ordesa National Park, famous for its canyons, alpine flowers and abundant wildlife.

Grand Canyon River Expedition   ::   May 2011

The whole journey and scenery was incredible and we were very impressed by Hatch's river guides, who not only showed their abilities with the raft but also catered for upwards of 26 people. The food was exceptional, and plenty of it.
Jayne and Stuart

Thanks very much. The 7 day river trip is an experience not to be missed - you must do it again. The tour leader did a great job.
Doug Sullivan

Another super holiday. Geoff was a great tour leader. A great asset to LW&A holidays. I now appreciate what "getting soaked to the skin" really means!!! The second part of the trip again was great with Bob as our guide.  Best wishes,
Jill & Elwyn

We had a great time on the Colorado.

Rajasthan   ::   November 2010

India's second largest state, Rajasthan was once remarkably prosperous with traders from as far afield as Persia and China crossing its dry plains to reach India's southern ports.  Herds of camels move slowly across the yellow desert sands; graceful women balance brass pots for fetching water; stark fortresses stand on deserted hills and enchanting doorways are painted gaily with elephants and peacocks.

"Thank you for a great trip to India. There was so much to take in. The hotels were excellent, food brilliant and the company was especially good."
Helen.

Amalfi   ::   September - October 2010

The Amalfi Coast is a stunningly beautiful coastline south of Naples, famous for its amazing views, orchards, terracing, hairpin bends and charming villages. Many of the homes and hotels are only accessed via charming pedestrian alleyways and staircases built into the pathway.

"The whole experience and company were excellent!"
Anne Moreton

"May we thank you for such a good holiday to an amazing part of the world."

Iceland   ::   September 2010

Iceland is a surreal and unforgettable mixture of soaring mountains, vast glaciers, fjords, active volcanoes and bubbling hot springs.

This visit concentrates on the south-west of the country, taking in the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and Reykjavík, Porsmork Valley the world-famous waterspouts at Geysir and Europe's most impressive waterfall, Gulfoss.

The guided walks introduce you to the island's amazing birdlife and fascinating geology.

This holiday does not compromise on quality, with two excellent hotels from which to explore Iceland.

Guided walks on this holiday are overall graded Moderate.

"Great trip. Please run it again because I can't wait to go back!"
Ian

"Once again another great holiday with lovely people, great food especially the scallops, lobster & langoustines. Please thank Chris for her expert leadership & also your agents in Iceland who did a great job in finding alternative activities when the weather was bad"
Jill & Elwyn

Walking & Exploring in South Africa   ::   November - December 2009
Adventure tour "I've now cleared my desk at work and can look back with great satisfaction at another very enjoyable holiday - well up to your usual high standard. It's the extra touches, like joining the locals for the carol service sung in English and Afrikaans and the wine and buffet afterwards, which make your trips memorable.
I was really impressed with South Africa as a country and the hotels and restaurants were all excellent or even better."
Colin

"A huge thank you from Hazel and I for giving us such a great trip to South Africa. We enjoyed the good company and the excellent walking (although perhaps some of the gradings need minor revision: eg. Baboon Rock!)"
Robert

Canyons of the American West   ::   September - October 2009
Thank you so much for yet another fabulous holiday. I think I've just recovered!  As usual it was great fun and a dream come true for me. Yvonne

Thank you once again and please put us down for the Grand Canyon River Experience in 2011 and New Mexico.
Best wishes to you both."
Jill & Elwyn        P.S. The stretch limo was a great finale!

"My most grateful thanks to you for yet another great holiday. It was, as always, excellently organised and the walking was terrific and combined with the most magnificent scenery; it all added up to make a holiday to remember for years to come.  And a stretch limo!"

Classical Egypt & Nile Cruise   ::   April 2009
Adventure tour "Once again, thank you so much for yet another wonderfully memorable holiday. We packed so much in, yet never felt hurried or hassled (apart from the traders!). If there were any hitches then no-one noticed.
It's so consistently reliable. We've never yet had anything but brilliant trips with you.
For the Egypt experience there aren't enough superlatives. There's always some added bonus. We've spoken to other people who have had disappointing holidays there - we tell them they should use Langdale. Mr. Fairs never lets that happen!"
Chris & John
Adventure tour
"This is by way of a belated thank you for organising the Egypt holiday. For me it was the holiday I have long craved and was the experience of a lifetime. Already I find it hard to believe that it was only just over two weeks ago since it started. I could not possibly have had a more comprehensive journey or crammed more into a week than we did. I came home feeling that I had had total value for my money and that not one minute of that holiday had been wasted. The location was magical and the group, the food, the guides and the accommodation were all top-notch. I have only one disappointment - there was no lamb in the desert!
I feel truly privileged to have visited Egypt with Langdale Holidays and will wholeheartedly recommend the company to family, friends and colleagues. Your organisational ability and attention to detail was second to none and undoubtedly made the holiday the overwhelming experience that it became. I could not get enough of the power and strength of the antiquities and was utterly impressed and awed by them. They were as huge and impressive as I had imagined and I feel so grateful for having seen so many of them due to your knowledge and experience."
