Walking holidays in the Lake District, Cumbria

INTRODUCTION
Join us for a weekend of guided walks amongst the spectacular early autumn Lakeland scenery.

Our base will be the Winder Hall Country House Hotel, a Jacobean manor house steeped in history and located in the peaceful Lakeland village of Low Lorton in the Northern Lakes.

The weekend arrangements include Friday to Sunday, but a special tariff has been negotiated with the hotel if you would like to extend your stay on Thursday and/or Sunday night to further explore this beautiful secret part of the Lakes.

A special feature of the weekend will be the 'country house party atmosphere' created by our exclusive use of this delightfully informal hotel.

The hotel is passionate about its food prepared from their farmhouse kitchen and guests are bound to be impressed by the relaxed atmosphere created by the owners.

Read what people who have been on this adventure before have to say about it.

The lakes and mountains of Crummock Water, Buttermere and Loweswater lie at the end of the valley affording the most spectacular scenery and offering great walking opportunities. A full day guided walking is planned for the Saturday and a morning walk on Sunday.

Amenities of the hotel include oak panelling, log fires, a sauna and lots of character. All bedrooms are furnished with antique and hand-crafted furniture. As the hotel has seven bedrooms, all named after local fells, we have reserved extra rooms at the nearby family-run Old Vicarage, which also has seven bedrooms of similar standard to Winder Hall. For further information please refer to their websites: www.winderhall.co.uk & www.oldvicarage.co.uk

The weekend will be hosted by David Fairs of Langdale Walking & Adventure Holidays and provides an ideal opportunity for a reunion with friends you have met on previous holidays in different parts of the world and the chance to meet new friends.
