INTRODUCTION
Join us for a weekend of guided walks amongst the spectacular early autumn Lakeland scenery, staying at the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel.

Highlights of the weekend include guided fell-walking featuring amazing views around Lake Windermere in the company of like-minded people, dinner parties in the hotel's restaurant, luxurious accommodation and the benefit of good leisure facilities.

Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel is a tranquil retreat set in six acres of beautiful grounds close to Lake Windermere and was once owned by one of the Lake District's most loved and famous inhabitants, Beatrix Potter. The hotel is proud of the quality and presentation of its food, and they have arranged for a pianist to be playing for dinner on Saturday.

The weekend will be hosted by David Fairs of Langdale Walking & Adventure Holidays, the management and staff of the hotel and local walking guides who will lead us on the walks - a full-day walk on the Saturday and a half-day walk on the Sunday.

PROGRAMME
Day 1 - Friday 10th October
3.00pm Arrive at your leisure. Rooms will be available from 3.00pm or arrive earlier to make use of the hotel's leisure facilities.
7.30pm Pre-dinner drinks and private reception in the Hilltop lounge.
8.15pm Five course dinner in the hotel followed by coffee or tea and petit fours.

Day 2 - Saturday 11th October
8.00am Cumbrian Breakfast in the restaurant.
9.00am Meet outside the hotel for a full-day walk known locally as the Three Peaks of Windermere. This circular walk is special because of the magnificent views of the lake from the three 1000ft peaks that we visit; Orrest Head, School Knott and Brantfell. This walk is suitable for anyone who is reasonably fit, and typically involves six hours walking with some moderate elevation. Picnic lunch. Grade Moderate. 9 miles.
8.00pm Five course dinner in the hotel followed by coffee or tea and petit fours.

Day 3 - Sunday 12th October
8.00am Cumbrian Breakfast in the restaurant.
9.30am Meet outside the hotel for a low-level guided walk. Starting from the hotel we take the quaint local ferry across Lake Windermere for a circular walk towards Strawberry Gardens, Claife Heights, Sawrey and the Beatrix Potter footpath, returning by ferry in time for a light lunch in the hotel. Grade Easy. 4 miles.
1.00pm Soup and sandwich lunch in the hotel with tea or coffee.

Price per person for the two nights (Friday & Saturday), sharing a twin or double Superior room: £250
Supplement per person for a Deluxe room: £25
Supplement per person for a Deluxe room with lake view: £40
Supplement for single occupancy of a twin or double Superior room: £60 per night for Friday & Saturday

Special Offer:
Stay for a third night (Sunday) on a bed & breakfast basis for £65 per person or £90 per person including dinner.
